How to get rid of acne?

Skin Acne
Buy Skin Care Products Online

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions in the world, affecting an estimated 85% of people at some point in their lives. When it comes to managing acne, we prefer to buy skin care products online and generally do not prefer prescription products unless the situation gets out of hand. All of us have different skin types, lifestyles, and genetic makeup that make it unlikely to have a single piece of one-size-fits-all suggestions. In this blog, we elaborate on five time tested fixes that will help you treat acne effectively.

1. Use skin care products meant for acne
For mild acne, face washes and leave-on ointment/lotions that contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can be very efficient. These are critical anti-acne elements in products which are easily available over the counter. Using such products standalone would probably be useful for the milder acne. Products containing glycolic acid and salicylic acid are considered to be the best skin care products for acne.

2. Take professional help
You don’t have to worry about occasional zits but for a more severe type of acne, you might need prescription medicine. This can range from the topical antibiotics which you apply as a gel or cream, or your physician could prescribe the antibiotic tablets for brief courses of 3 - 6 months.

3. Use oil free moisturisers
Make sure that you're using moisturisers that aren't too greasy. Look out for words like 'non-comedogenic' or 'oil-free' in your skin care products and avoid products that contain mineral oil or petroleum jelly. Moisturising should be a part of your daily routine, at least once or twice a day. If you've got the appropriate product, moisturisers will not add any extra grease to your acne-prone skin. They are there just to maintain its hydration level.

4. Don't pop the zits
We advise people against squeezing and picking their acne spots. Any pigmentation or scarring could be made more severe by picking or squeezing the spots. Proper skin care and using prescription medication both in combination can be very effective.

5. Wear minimal makeup
Using cosmetics regularly can be very harmful for your skin. Wearing make up regularly can block your pores and make it difficult for your skin to breathe. Clogged pores can result in acne or make the existing ones worse. However, if you prefer wearing make up regularly, use minimal makeup and do not wear layers of foundation.
